Great food close to the Quarterhouse. If you are staying at the Quarterhouse go to the corner make a lwft it is one block pass bourbon st, Wife had the Shrimp and grits and she said it was one of her best meals. I had the red beans and rice meal that comes with a large piece of Sausage.

I'll be in NOLA in March. Can't wait to get back to the Spotted Cat on Frenchman Street.

Spotted Cat is always crowded, except when they are tearing down and setting up between acts. That's almost inevitable when you have no cover charge and don't bother to enforce the 2-driink minimum. And you have good music.

Personally, I like the energy of the crowd, when everyone's into the music together. My only issue is that it''s difficult to actually get bar service - that's a good reason not to enforce the minimum.

I've never seen them with wait staff. Everytime I've been there it's shove your way to the bar and order your drink.
