The map links deserve a sticky in the Mexico Forum!

          I'll do that now.

          Thank you very much!

Many changes have taken place in the Cabo area in last few years. One significant change is the main road through Cabo San Lucas. A few years back you would need to turn right onto a frontage road a block before you would turn left across trafic to make a left hand turn. There was a left turn signal off the frontage road. Now there is a nice devider in the middle of the road and regular left turn signals that you would find like in the USA.

To get to Costco and Wallmart you still need to get into the frontage road to cross the HWY. This will never change, imo, because of all of the businesses along the HWY.

All of the area above the Office and Mango Deck are now paved. The road heading from Casa Dorado to the Marina is now paved.

HWY 1 to Todos Santos has been widened to a freeway style road with two lanes in each direction. This is nice but isn't finished yet. Many of the old shortcuts to the Baja Beaches that were under bridges off the old road are gone. Other areas of access have been gated.

The area of Ceritoes has been developed. There are new condos going in along this stretch. The newer hotel above the Ceritoes Beach Club is open and at times seving food and beverages.

To get to El Pescador you need to get off the HWY 1 near Todos Santos and follow the dirt road to the cove. The fisherman sell their catches to who ever pays first but the fish buyer is here by 2 pm. Very good prices for tuna and dorado here if they have them. You can also hire a panga here for $125. Its not to far to the Golden Gate from this area so marlin are within reach.

El Pastore Beach, the surfing beach north of Todos Santos is hard to get to unless your driving down the beach. Most of the areas near the dirt road are fenced off.

On the Sea of Cortez side the nice swiming hole called Santa Maria looks like it is being developed. I saw the sign but didn't see the parking lot.

Chileno Beach is the same with the same access.

The little fishing area called La Playita has been developed. There is a nice marina and it looks like the marina is being expanded. I didn't see the panga fleet on the beach.

No golf this trip. Fishing reports were bad, so only shore fishing this trip.

Cabo Wabo is still a fun place to party. So is Squid Row. In between is a place called Happy Endings. This is a fun place to hang out for at least one cheap drink. The Jungle, below the Cabo Wabo is a great place to pick up a taco and a drink for cheap at Taco Loco. Try the bacon wraped, cheese filled prawns. YUM.

The Cabo Marina is still a fun place to visit. The casino that was next to Wyndham is closed but there is a new casino at the marina above the Cabo Brewery. Pretty good beer at this brewery. Why does everything in Mexico have lime in it ? Keep the lime out of my Mexican Ale please. I don't like lime in the mayo either.

Lime is for tequilla shots and Corona Beer. I bought a bag of chips and found that they were limed flavored. yuck.

Costco still has the best selection of wine, beer and liquor.

A newer sub-division has been built over the spot where the guys sitting under blue traps sold seafood. I couldn't find them anywhere. The guy that sold coconuts at the Surfing beach in the coridor has disappeared as well.

This was what we found on our recent trip. AND, NO RAIN THE ENTIRE TRIP !!!

                    Ok Then , hasta
                    Mr. Bill
