Current offering at wtso is Conti Serristori Chianti Classico DOCG 2007 for $10.99. As is usual with WTSO this offer will only be there for several hours, then will be replaced with a new offering. So if you click on the link and it's not the chianti, that means that WTSO has moved on.



This is the second time I've seen this at WTSO. I bought some the first go-round and was quite pleased with it. Bought another four this go round. Would have bought more, but I'm running out of storage space as I've been stocking up to avoid summer shipping.

I would be surprised if it doesn't make at least one reappearance Wed during Cheapskate Wednesday. Get the phone app or subscribe to the Twitter feed on Wednesday if you want to be on it.

Don't expect this to be hugely expressive chianti. But it's very drinkable - and will easily outshine mosst of the $10 bottles of chianti you might pick up at a well-stocked grocery store. It's got five years of aging behind it already, and it was clearly made with some structure. Not as forward as what you might get in a 2010 "drink now" chianti, but a lot more depth to it.

That's great, Frank. And I really mean it.

We had Mother's Day dinner with my oldest son tonight. DIL works tomorrow, so tonight was the night. He lives in Seattle - so we see him some but not as much as I would like. His sister and one of his brothers are gone and we hardly see them at all any more. I do miss them, even if we never did talk very much, being guys and all. DD and I actually talk together the most.
