  • Tzatziki Sauce ~ another greek favorite

2 cups plain Chobani or it you can't get any "better" Greek Yogurt, Yoplait Greek will work
1 small cucumber, peeled, seeded, and shredded
2 clove garlic, peeled and put through garlic press
    1 tsp grated onion
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
    1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp fresh dill, chopped (1/2 tsp. dried)

salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Drain yogurt and grated cucumber in a cheesecloth lined colander for several hours, or over night if you have the time. Mix with remaining ingredients and chill. Use as a sandwich sauce for gyros or dip for vegetables.
    * Really, really drain this, the longer you can drain the better.
