I do not know all the details yet but I think there is going to be about 2 or 3 people taking the dog and driving an hour or more. They do a relay to get him to wher he has to go. I hope to know more over the weekend or by Monday night. I was told that BDRA has to go and inspect the house that Tuffy is going to first. But the woman said that this one should not be a problem since there are no other pets

I am so glad that you found a new home for Tuffy. I can feel your sadness, but so much better than the alternative... and now you can mend as well.

My son came home from School just to see his dog one last time. It was the most heart felt moment that we have ever had with Tuffy I am going to hopefully get my friend to come with me because I am not sure I will be able to drive. I should know by the afternoon if the new home passed inspection and which day they want to take him in. I do not think I will ever get another dog We got to attached and if I had to put him down I do not even want to think how both me and my son would be like.

So sorry Frank. Tuffy sounds like he has had a long, full life and will be taken care of well.

Sending you lots of thoughts and hugs. I'm sure this has been a very difficult time for you. Please remember all the happy times you have had together. Tuffy will have a great time in his new home. Perhaps you can send some of his toys or an old blanket to make the transition a little easier for him. You have a really BIG heart to take this much effort to find him a new home.

I think I am making Kleenex work overtime. I just got off the phone with the Runner from BDRA, She went to the home and it is blind proof! The house has a blind Bishon that I did not know about. They have everything padded so he can not get hurt, No Stairs for the dog to fall from he has a ramp. I am going to miss my little guy but I can tell he is going to a good home.

BRDA is great the woman said she did not mind coming right to my home since it gives her a reason to visit her brother in the city. She is coming Thursday to get him.

I have attached a few pics of Tuffy so you can see what he looks like

Oh, Frank, what a cute little dog. I'm so glad that he is going to live with such a caring person. Separation is hard, but he is lucky that you chos such a wonderful place for him.

It sounds like a very good place for him. Sorry you have to go through this, but although Tuffy will no longer walk in your home, he will always wander in your heart...

Tuffy is on his way now to a temp home. He will be there till Sunday and then makes his way to Utica NY where he will be staying I hope for good in his new Foster BDRA home with another Blind Bishon. He can be adopted but Grace the woman that picked Tuffy up thinks that Debbie who is also part of BDRA will be adopting him for good. And after seeing Tuffy she feels Tuffy will be staying there for good.

This week was bad, I had no idea I was going to feel like I have. I think if Grace had not come to my house to get Tuffy I was going to cancel. I might be bigfrank but I acted more like a Little Frank this week.

What you have been thru is one of the hardest things you can do. You wouldn't be Big Frank if you didn't feel this way. Your baby is in good hands. I don't know how anyone can be a foster to a sick animal knowing it may not be around for long. They and you have already earned your angel wings.

As much as it hurts, you still stepped up and did the right thing for Tuffy. You're a good man Frank and the little guy is very lucky to have had you as his master.
