The play is really great; the $36 seats are pretty far up/back; we sat in full price seats in the 8th row in the mezzanine and I thought we were looking down at quite an angle (mind you I am spoiled when it comes to theatre and usually sit in the first 12 rows or so in the orchestra if I can manage it). It is common among NYC theatres (exceptions: American Airlines theatre and the Marquis, maybe one or two more), most housed in old buildings, to go tall rather than wide... your best bet is to check the seating chart on the ticket site. And if you can't get better seats, either for availability or budget reasons, then just go anyway, it is hilarious.
Edited to add: I just checked the website, Balcony row A overhangs Mezzanine Row C, so you will end up being higher up (more angle) but necessarily much further back than most mezzanine ticket holders paying full price.

Oops, my edit was supposed to say "...higher up (more angle) but NOT necessarily much further back," did you realize that?
