  • JLB's Continuing Problems with RCI Website Thread

I can't get it to open this morning. It's been churning for ten minutes.

    Normal post-update crash?

EDIT - the original thread back in March was about an upgrade to the RCI website - that has come and gone - but there ar still problems.
Felt JLB needed a separate thread to continue his "discussion" - GrayFal

    2. Once I get to where I wanna be, Southern Gulf Coastal for January, 2015, and I hit the back browser button to be able to select January, 2016, it goes back several pages instead of just one. It goes all the way back to the first results page. From there I then have to select Florida, and then drop down to select January, 2016. I don't think they intended that clicking the back browser button would take it back further than the last page, but it does.
Oh, here, this must be why it's down:

I got in, but it's still glitchy.

If I look at Southern Gulf Coast, and then want to look at Northern Gulf Coast, a click on the back browser should take me to that page. But, it does not. It goes all the way back to the first exchanges available page.

FWIW I was just able to get in and confirm a deposit on my Android phone using the browser, not the rci app. I had already tried 3 browsers and two different computers this morning with no luck. The mobile version is a little different but worked perfectly. I had no problem running a search to see if anything else was available before confirming.

You know, folks, not everything has to be shiney and new and work right, or work at all.

When I was a kid, there was a loop of road that was put in, with no houses yet, and no traffic, since it connected the ends of two dead-end streets.

A little bit older kid on the next street had a racing go cart, a really hot one, and he'd run up and down that street like crazy.

So, the kid across the street's father built him a fancy go cart, all welded together and fancy schmancey.

So, I took the deck and engine off our reel lawn mower, and bolted it to two metal poles, bolted some crossmembers and a seat to it, and put a "front axle" on it that my feet rested on, to steer.

When something fell off or came loose, I put it back on or tightened it back up.

          It was fun.

I got in yesterday after someone in tech support hit a few keys, but as I roamed around the site, I ran into another, unpredictable glitch with viewing dates. It would show availability for a date, but when clicked on would display another error in the field which should show available units. I called again, and the tech tried to tell me it's because availability is more than 10 months out. Clearly she was thinking Wyndham points, not RCI. She didn't solve the problem for me. It's still there today. All she did was try to sell me a reservation. Very annoying.

So, put back on whatever fell off, or tighten whatever came loose.

I take it everyone else's back browser is working OK, right?

I've got a dialog going with feedback.

I was on searching earlier today and everything was quirky-fine. The latest, now, is that I can't log back in. It says it doesn't recognize my username or password.

                  Anyone get that?

Anyone else's back browser skipping back too far?

Anyone else have 20 dots where the password goes, that go away when you click in there?

Can you/anyone log in? It churns for way-to-long, then gives me the error message about username/password.

FWIW, feedback said the 20 dots are confusing and they were passing that on to the techies.

I just logged in, but it took almost two minutes for it to connect.

Mine churns for that long, then doesn't connect.

It's still not working. Also, when I come here in another window, already open, leaving it open, it stops churning and goes back to the beginning login status.

I can't get in either, have the 20 dots for the password that disappear when I double click on them. I put in my password then it just churns and churns ~ been 6 min.now.

UPDATE ~ Now on the eighth minute, I get this................
