  • Confused about RCI/Bluegreen Exchanges

I haven't done an RCI exchange since 2010. Now I want to do one and when I click on exchanges(from Bluegreen online) it takes me to RCI and it seems I can only use points? Can I no longer make a deposit and do an ongoing search?
Anyway, yesterday morning I found an exchange available at Kings' Land by Hilton Vacations Club, Big Island, HI, for check in on March 2, 2013. This morning, of course, it is no longer there(should have booked it instead of waiting to discuss with DH).
So, I guess I'm asking for a refresher course on exchanges...and, if anyone does have a deposit you can check, would you see if that date and resort is available some other way.
    Thanks,

What you are referring to is what is commonly known as the cross-over grid.

You know longer deposit a week first, and then get a week in return. Just like BlueGreen's internal season, each resort / area has a required number of points that it requires.

There is a points chart availble at https://bluegreenowner.com//MS/Resor...01_15_2010.pdf that gives the current BlueGreen points required to book at various locations during different RCI's RED, BLUE, and White seasons.

You can but you have to call in I believe to set that up.

I like the new RCI / Bluegreen exchange system, look for the vacation and book it, very easy.

Just beware the cancellation policy and extra fees.
