  • Question About Temp/Humidity in Williamsburg & D.C.

I'm trying to determine if it would be a mistake to visit D.C. & Williamsburg in June. I'm not a fan of high humidity along with high temps.

I have the same question but for August. Is it better or worse than Orlando in August? Thanks.

In my experience it was hot and humid in Williamsburg both times.

I've been there in June and August. Heat and humidity bad both times, but not as bad as Florida during those months.

I was in Washington Dc and Williamsburg this April 6-12.
The weather was warm, in the high 70's.
We went to DC on April 10 and it was 90+ degrees.

          Expect 80's in June....

We have done the 3rd week in June in 2010 and 2011.

2010 was unbearable (and I typically don't have issue with heat). It was so hot and humid that it really wasn't even pleasant to be out side. Marriott pools were running temps in the 90s-100s. We didn't do anything in historic Williamsburg cuz it was simply too hot to be outside. We ended up spending a lot of time at the water park!

2011 was much better. Still hot, but the humidity wasn't as bad.

You might catch a break in the first 2.5 weeks in June. It will be warm but one year we went around the 12th of June and with low humidity it wasn't that bad. I would be much less optimistic about late June or August but you never really know for no apparent reason there are a couple of nice low humidity weeks thrown in during the summers.

I think August would be guaranteed hellish hot, with chance of hurricane. June, just hellish hot.
