  • Newcomer needs help! Please!

    My name is Larry.

Where is the best place/site to sell/rent Wyndham points? I have 150,000.

Also what about selling my Wyndham deed that has 105,000 points each year?

I appreciate the help! I'm totally lost.

      there is no 'best' place
your 105,000 points may be worth close to $1- $227 on eBay
check out this link for recent sales
the best use of your points is your own vacations
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

You can not rent the Wyndham point out, you can only make reservation and rent the reserve out. With point size like this, it may be too late to get good point cost rental income for this year.

Sell is very limited and depressing. You are looking at give it out to avoid future MF. If that is the goal, than try to put on eBay.

          thanks

          I appreciate the feedback.

I am trying a couple of ads on Craigslist.

          Does anybody here know about:
Timeshares - Timeshare Resales and Rentals - Buy, Rent or Sell Timeshare at SellMyTimeshareNOW

          Or the site:
Timeshares | Buy Timeshares | Sell Timeshares | Rent Timeshares | Time Share listings worldwide at Buy A Timeshare

          Are these sites legit?
Both seem to want money up front in order to list on their site.

          Thanks again!
          Larry

I'm going to suggest NOT using sellmytimeshare now. I listed a camping membership with them. It costs money upfront and then I never heard from them again.

I also inquired about a timeshare they had listed. They said the property owner would get an email that I was asking about it and would contact me. I never heard from the property owner, but did hear from sellmytimesharenow. They didn't know about the property I inquired about, but wanted to suggest other choices. Thanks, but no thanks.

That is my problem. I dont know who to trust.

We listed one property with a TS-Resale group. So far they have done nothing. They charged $599 up front. I see now that was a big mistake.

I talked with someone at buy a timeshare . com
He wanted $700 up front and bragged about how they have ads on TV, etc.

At sell my timeshare now the lady seems nicer. But she wants $199 up front.
I told her we would gladly give her a 50% commission if she would help us sell it.

This certainly is not easy. Who can you trust??????

You can safely assume that any group looking for more than $75 as a listing fee (or whatever they may call it) is in the game for your upfront dollars - NOT to sell your ownership. At $75 or less they may have a legitimate web site set up to advertise your timeshare but be sure they have a wide audience or it's wasted $$. No matter where you offer it realize that Wyndham Points have been pushed down to $.01 or less resale value in part by Wyndham's own actions. There are many many more offers to sell (or give them away) than there are takers. Just a couple years ago people were whining that the points they paid $15-$20,000 for where worth maybe $2000-$3000 - today they'd be ecstatic to get that!

Basically hope to find a taker for your points that will pay the current fees (assuming you haven't used the points yet) and take the obligation on going forward. They still have good value for use but no resale value unfortunately. At least they do have use value, some systems and many weeks don't even have that. If you're done with them give them away & be thankful you could. But DO NOT pay hundreds or thousands to anyone to get rid of it. Good luck.

                    Sounds like good advice.

So how (or where or who) do I go about finding a taker?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
