RCI has just announced a new version of their vacation insurance (they are dropping Berkley Care), offered directly from RCI and called Cancellation Protection. It appears to be a weaker version the CPO long offered by DAE but at a higher cost.

II's plan appears to be like what RCI has offered in the past, covering more things but probably much more limited for covered events.

DAE and the new RCI plan cover only the exchange itself, but are all inclusive on triggering events - ANY reason you have to cancel.

I never cared for the plans with limited covered events, because I have never seen one that would pay off for things like car trouble or traffic jams on the way to the airport making you late for an international flight. Those can ruin your trip just as easily as medical conditions.
