How do you get free tickets? We were in Branson and I never ran into anything like that, I did see a place that sold two for one with no gimmicks.

You know someone who knows someone who knows someone.

Many of the shows also have a Locals policy, where Locals can go fro free or reduced admission, by showing up close to show time. Some allow for guest, like one guest per local.

But, that only helps if you know a local.

I am glad I know a local, just one, he lives on a lake.

How would someone have free tickets, just to give away? If I had some tickets for shows, I would go myself or sell 'em.

There were some shows that gave away tickets to sister shows because it was kinda slow and they were promoting afternoon and morning performances. But those free shows were only good for a short time. You should be able to get some deals while you are there.

I found the prices for shows to be pretty high, but every show was worth the cost. Shoji, or whatever his name is, was pretty good and the restrooms were just amazing. I liked that show with the Spiders and Snakes guy, what was his name???? I think that is an appropriate song to go with some of the recent posts about Branson.

"I don't like Spiders and Snakes, and that ain't what it takes to love me..." Jim, that should be Branson's theme song I think that guy's name is also Jim and he is a hoot! I thought that was the best show.

Jim Stafford.

I you liked his show, you would really like some other ones, maybe that weren't here when you were.

That is the guy's name. Rick would have remembered, but I didn't think of asking him.

I do love that funny guy and his music. Rick and I graduated high school in 1973 and his "Spiders and snakes" song was a huge hit when we were in high school.

some of those shows should have been giving away free tickets, like "Road to Rock", the offer we saw was $10 off another show int he same theatre.

I have seen Jim Stafford 4 times, the first in 91. I liked him the first two times, not so much the last two times. i brought my sister and bil and they were not impressed either. He has gotten so gimmicky, used to perform his entire songs.

We really enjoyed Mickey Gilley this year, has some good seats, and good companions, and he put on a great show.
