Review: Jockey Club

Following is an overview of the review that was added:

The location can not be beat - but you have a 50/50 chance of looking out at a concrete wall. The resort is now surrounded on 3 sides by the new City Center, but it will share some very upscale amenities when the Cosmopolitan is complete.

Please see the review here!

Smile

Do you know when the cosmopolitan will be completed and how do you know that JC will be able to use Cosmo rooftop pool?

There is some concern that new owner/management at Cosmo may not honor original developer promises that do not appear to be clearly spelled out.

Hope you are correct as I own at JC

This is great, Fantastic location, and probably nice rooms after renovation, nice for longtime owners here.

I went to the "Geo Group" presentation

There was no definitive time as to when the Cosmopolitan would be opening but all the exterior work is done.

The Geo Group - who alleged they 'own' the resort (hmmmm, wonder what the actual TS owners think of that!) say they they have a contract as part of the sale of the surrounding properties that Geo Group owners will have access to the 10th floor pool/amenities area - that there is a private entrance from the current pool area...yada yada.
When I specifically asked about the current Jockey Club owners who were not part of the Geo Group the salesmen stated they would NOT have access to the Cosmopolitan amenities....yeah, right!

BTW, Geo Group is selling a points package - to buy enough points for a yearly 1BR unit is 25K with MFs of $965!!!
Jockey Club MFs for a 1BR are $465ish.

I believe this is Geo - Canadian based GeoHoliday Vacation Club - Home

GrayFal's Photos - Las Vegas New Years Eve 12/31/09

View of the wall - not good, but not bad either.

Cosmopolitan Club ....the entrance driveway to the Jockey Club is to the left of the white bus stop canopies.

View of the 'front' Jockey Club building from the Bellagio moving walkway. Notice the City
Center buildings surrounding the JC building.

Second Jockey Club building where we stayed. City Center "Cosmoplitan Club" behind and to the right of Jockey building - buiding far right is part of Bellagio.

Wow Pat, nice pictures! I especially like the night scenes. Did you use a special camera for these?

You know looking at all those pictures it makes me wonder why none of the buildings have balconies.

Are they afraid people will jump if they lose too much in the casino?

Come to think of it my hotel room the last time I went to Vegas at Mandalay Bay didn't have a balcony either. What's up with that?
