We traded a two-bedroom Colorado summer week for Waikiki Beach Walk. But we only had a two bedroom deluxe. The Presidential was only for Fairshare Plus owners. Presidential is what I want to be.

And what would the maintenance fees be? I like to trade to places with higher maintenance fees. If the buy price 117 times what I like to pay, do you think the maintenance fees would be that too?
Keep in mind that HGVC is a points based reservation system. My bet is this will be an RCI points resort and more difficult to get into with a bargain priced timeshare. Can't say it for a fact but it wouldn't surprise me.

Why would anyone pay this kind of money for 1 week? What are the annual maintenace fees for something like this?

I'd rather spend double for that week than buy into a pyramid scheme like Global Resort Networks.

Now let's not get started down THAT road again.

Even in the old days, prices like that were not unusual for prime ski weeks in places like Beaver Creek.

Maybe $117k is cheap. PerryM's been talking up the Planet Hollywood Towers in Las Vegas over on tug today. Floating 4BR $99,900 and Week 52 $139,900. Suddenly a mere $117k looks cheap in comparison.

Actually I don't expect to be buying either. What a surprise!

JLB is right, some of the ski weeks in Vail and Breck originally sold for outrageous amounts of money. Of course, what goes up, must come down.

I have been reading Perry's posts on his new purchase at Planet Hollywood. I would bet he is right about the location and the value, because who is going to question Perry? He is as smart as they come. If his location changes to NV, we will all know the truth. He took a job as a timeshare salesman.

I'd rather put that money in shares.

A Xmas week at Hyatt High Sierra Lodge , Incline Village, NV costs around 200K, but we can't buy if we have the money!
