Interesting articles on the Wuhan Coronavirus

The Daily Telegraph of London has an interesting article on how Latvia has achieved one of the best records on the virus in Europe while keeping its economy open. They have had 20,000 confirmed cases and only 19 deaths. Their prime minister resisted strict lockdowns and kept businesses open. The only businesses closed were theatres and cinemas, and large shopping malls were restricted to operating Monday through Friday. Even restaurants have remained fully open.

From the article: "a key reason for the Baltic state's relative success in halting the spread of the virus so far, were the 'very many' early steps taken by the government". I guess good leadership works and the Latvian leader didn't call the virus a liberal hoax and wasn't out of town every weekend playing golf while the virus was going international.

He certainly wasn't being jerked around by his opposition with a fake impeachment charade during that time period.

If you don't like it or have no excuse or explanation, call it fake. From the con artist's bible.

And now it looks like Sicily will pay tourists to visit the island - half the air fare and one night's hotel - to get tourists coming back after the Wuhan virus passes.

Sicily is a beautiful island if you have never been.
