    Most Cost Effective TV Service?

I asked this on TUG, but I'm hoping someone here or there can help.

We are going to be moving to San Juan Capistrano, and we are going to have to figure out how to get telephone, internet and TV. With regard to TV, we watch the broadcast stations, HBO and Showtime, Food Network, MSNBC and Comedy Central. That's about it.

Cox Communications offers service, but before I committed to anything, I wanted to see about other options. This would include an antenna for broadcast HD stations, possibly TV over the internet, Dish options, or anything else.

Has anyone tried to determine what is the best and most cost-effective way to receive these services?

Verizon FIOS is head and shoulders above anything else. Hopefully it is available in San Juan Capistrano. We have had Verizon FIOS Internet, TV, and Phone for almost 7 years now.

If you go with Verizon, make sure you negotiate a good deal. They are very good at giving discounts and throwing in free extras if you ask them.

You might as well be moving to Florida, cuz that is a tough call there, too.

Watever we do this year, it will be different than last year's Comcast/Xfinity debacle.

When you decide, I would be interested to hear what you think is best. We haven't made any decisions for the FL house yet.

It's not. That's why I'm looking for options.

You maybe able to get Satellite service from Direct TV or Dish. There INTERNET was crazy when I looked into it but since they are losing customers to fios there prices are coming down
