Top 20 airports for TSA luggage theft

Of course, I have found the top place I have had theft from my luggage is Bucharest Otopeni (OTP) on connecting flights. I have never had a problem if OTP is my final destination.

But that list is based on how many employees were fired for theft. Perhaps the danger of having one's luggage stolen is greater where the crooks haven't been fired.

TSA has removed from my luggage on departure my knifes, gps, mosquito repellant, remote controll, tools and other items that I needed for my trips. They allways leave a note.

TSA has removed from my luggage on return my gps, booze, compass and other items. I lose more of my items leaving than returning. All of my items are legal.

I have a hard side Samsonite that always gets a TSA search paper in it. Since it is not a zipper closure we put a travel strap around it since it can't be locked ...

Were these items removed from your check luggage ? We always carry our gps in our carry on luggage.

Shame on you TSA.

YUP, its the checked luggage that gets looted in Seattle on departures, imo.

We recently returned from Kauai direct to JFK. We had a 10 ml vial of testosterone and syringes inside the bounce dryer sheets box. Gone on arrival to NY. Even the used syringes. Did not realize it until a week later when I went to use it and remembered where I packed it.

Wonder what the list is for Airline Employees? There was baggage theft long before there ever was a TSA.
