I realize perhaps not the most economical use, but useful if one has two many weeks that won't be used.
It is an option, but RCI limits you to 4 PFD weeks per resort per year. So you can own 5 CMV UDI's, but you can still only deposit 4. They also have other limitations. They have also changed the way the flights are "priced". It is not a flat say 25000 points for a flight. The points now convert to a dollar amt that you apply to the cost of your flight. The days of getting major surplus RCI points from CMV UDI's are long gone.

I am keeping a very tight eye on on my cost per point and my cost per TPU. Plus I rented a couple of weeks which brought my cost per point down. In my case it worked out costwise, but I would consider it only light icing on the cake. The heavy icing is the number of weeks that you can deposit into TPU's, and other exchange companies. To me, if we lived closer and were "woodsy" people the heavy icing would just be the ability to get away to CMV itself for just $65 for a week.

I just got a bill in the mail from Christmas Mountain at Wisconsin Dells. I have 3 UDI weeks and I am being billed $3,000 per week for a total of $9,000. What's up with that? How do you contact the Board members?

Please reread your Special Accessment billing carefully.

If you own a CMV UDI Cottage your total Special Accessment is $3, 096 and can be paid over 3 years in the amount of $1,032 per year.

If you own a CMV UDI Oak Timbers your total Special Accessment is $2,485 and can be paid over 3 years in the amount of $828 per year.

It is now nowhere as great of a deal as it was a few years ago on airfare and other uses with far lower costs and more flexability. Bruce

Douglaus, you have not replyed back to my post and confirmed that your special accessment for one Cottage UDI is $3,096 and not the $9,000 you posted.

What's up with that? I am sure it was a honest mistake. Please next time when posting make sure your numbers posted as fact are correct and not off by such a large amount as posts with vastly incorrect amounts like the BG Points saleman were spouting does not help members on this or any other timeshare website site.

Were you one of the ones who got a free CMV UDI Cottage in the last year or so?

Bruce it looks like he possibly has three ownerships so if that is the case his figures might be correct.

He is unclear on how many he owns as he says 3 weeks which would be only one UDI ownership as per BG's way of labeling UDI's.

He did not say 3 ownerships. He says quote " I have 3 UDI weeks and I am being billed $3,000 per week for a total of $9,000."

What I also find interesting is that for almost 1.5 years ago BG had provided info on the Special Accessment on the CMV website and in some mailings.

It appears that he is a non involed owner and wants the horse put back into the barn after it has left.
