Gilt City: La Marina, brunch for two $45, dinner $78

La Marina is an new summer hot spot for it's outdoor deck and spectacular views, but now that the weather's cold they're running great specials for indoor dining. Views look pretty great from inside, too. Located in Washington Heights, so quite a hike from midtown, but must be pretty cool to have become such a sensation:

I just wanted to report back to say that we had a fabulous meal here (MUCH better than I expected), and the water/bridge/sunset views are to die for. I would love to go back when the weather is warmer and the outside decks and waterfront dance floor are open, but I hear it gets VERY busy/crowded and reservations are very difficult in season now that the celebs have been spotted there. Truly a one of a kind place in these parts!

They offer a Dominican brunch on Sundays. Not sure what that's like but I hear it's getting popular. Be forewarned, parking is $20, no validation
