    Trader Joe's.

Trader Joe's is coming to Miami.

    Finally we have arrived!!!!!

    Can't wait.
I actually stopped at the one in Naples on my way home from Ft. Myers and stocked up on 2 buck chuck, except it's 3 buck chuck down here in Florida. Oh well, still a good deal for my lovely Shiraz.

And that unexpectedly good cheddar is out of this world. I think it's better than the Dubliner.

So what should I buy/try all ye Trader Joe's gurus?

    Where to begin ... I like ...
Tomato soup (in a carton) ... great when it's cold outside with a few croutons and maybe some parmesan on top. I like the pear champagne vinagarette salad dressing (in the refrig case). The banana chocolate chunk muffins are great (and only a couple of WW points). The kettle corn is good, and there is a low fat version in individual size bags, also good. Frozen green beans are tasty and frozen red-yellow-green peppers called Menois a Trois that you can throw in all kinds of things. I put the fire-roasted frozen corn in when I make chili. Pear cinnamon cider (or maybe juice) is very good. They are always getting new items and frequently have samples to taste. They also mail out a great mini catalog with lots of new items and seasonal favorites from time to time.

A quick run through of the items we get there regularly:

    - mandarin orange chicken (
    - simmer sauces (the Thai red curry is awesome with chicken or shrimp)
    - seafood blend (frozen)
    - gyoza
    - enchilada sause (I like theirs better than anybody else's)
    - fire roasted salsi
    - rosemary bread
    - cheeses
    - asian stir-fry veggies
    - meat lasagna
    - kung pao chicken
    - jalapeno refried beans
    - cuban style black beans
    - tapenades
    - sesame soy ginger vinagrette

stopped getting mochi because it was too dangerous to have around.

Thanks for this info! Trader Joe's just opened in Sarasota, and I can't wait to shop there when we return to Sarasota in October.

Well there goes that excuse for not moving to Florida.

    I always stock up on:

the bags of frozen artichoke hearts.
Love the frozen kobe hamburger 2-pack.
Big fan of the marinated ahi steaks.
Chocolate covered, peanut butter stuffed pretzels.
Any and all of the cream of soups in the refrigerated section
    Mandarin chicken.
    Cioppino
The seasoned frenched rack of lamb in frozen is to die for.

forgot about the ahi. Tx for the reminder, lawren.

Also TJs barbecue sauce is excellent. Also the bruschetta. The stuffed salmon fillets make a great quick meal for two people. Battered onion rings. frozen tamales.

If you have steamer the barbecued pork buns are very good. But only if you have a steamer; they don't microwave well at all.
