Question Eagle Crest Redmond Oregon

This resort is popping up all over the place at all times of the year.

What do people DO here? Do they ski, whitewater, rappel off mountains?

What would be a primetime trade period?

Pretty much all of the above, I own most of my timeshare weeks here, love the climate, 90s in the day, 40-50s at night. If you exchange, get a 3 bedroom, all 3 bedrooms are fractional units with large private decks with large private hottubs. 2 person jacuzzi tubs in master bath, the whole top floor is the master bedroom and bath.

Go the 3rd weekend in July, they have a nice draft horse show for the weekend right on property!

It is the high desert of eastern oregon.

So summer has hot dry weather. But not super hot like AZ. River rafting and swimming. Horse back riding, golf ect.

Winter is for skiing at the near by Mt Batchlor. Not real close but an easy drive. OR other winter activities.

I also own at this resort. It is a couple hour drive from Eagle Crest to Crater Lake. Also, Smith Rock State Park, which is reknowned for climbing and is also has some nice hiking, is about an hour away. There are 3 golf courses on site, and something like 6 pools. The Deschutes River runs thru the resort and is popular for rafting. As was mentioned, Mt Bachelor is nearby for skiing -- typically late into the spring.

One thing I'd take exception with is categorizing Eagle Crest as being in "eastern Oregon". Having grown up in eastern Oregon, the Bend/Redmond area is typically referred to as central Oregon, although it is most definitely on the eastern side of the Cascades and sports a high desert climate as described.

In general, it's an awesome family-oriented resort in a beautiful location. Very relaxing.
