We have an upcoming trip to Port Townsend (WM Discovery Bay) this September. Any suggestions re restaurants, sights, etc. would be appreciated. What kind of weather can we expect?

Sorry no one has answered you yet, Minnie. I am not an expert anymore there, as per restaurants, etc, since it has been so long since I've been there, but it is WONDERFUL! A great place to wander downtown and then to drive arond and see the GREAT Victorian houses. Hopefully, you'll find a house tour that week???? don;t know.

The weather in the Pacific Northwest is impossible to predict. It is possible that your September weather will be beautiful and in the 70's or will be cloudy and cool (50 - 60's). At any rate, be sure to bring an umbrella and a jacket. It will be cooler near the water than inland. You may want to take a trip to the Olympic National Park and drive to Hurricane Ridge while you are staying at Discovery Bay.

The Discovery Bay area is very rural. Without knowing your interests -- are you looking for fine dining or roadside cafes? --- it's difficult to make restaurant recommendations.
