Billy - the new building must be all the way around the back of the spa?
I was in Desert Springs (building 4) last new years - I think they were still building #5 Eagle something???? - but your location must be even quieter....
Quieter?? I don't know how even the first building could be loud. Maybe the sound of Golf Clubs hitting the balls?

The new building is directly down the street from the SPA. Sad now cause I had to come back home last night.

Well there is always next time!

Question

Would any MFV owners or guests be able to comment on Thanksgiving week occupancy, weather (avg.), as well as their experience staying in the newest building, Forest Highlands?
Also, any reviews by those that have had Thanksgiving at the Ram's Head Inn? We had an enjoyable dinner there during our last trip to AC but not during holidays. Quality, cost, etc.?
Appreciate any comments. thanks.

Hi J-

I've never been at MFV during Thanksgiving, but I will be there with my family this year. Haven't made any dinner reservations yet, I'm going to check on what the hotel dinning room is offering. I like the Rams Head Inn for special occassions, but my children and their spouses would rather do something less formal. I may even order-in the works from somewhere.

I'm guessing the weather will be 40-50 degrees, so we plan to golf, hang at the spa, indoor pool, shops and casinos.

I usually ask for the "E" building due to its close proximity to the Elizabeth Arden Spa and indoor pool.

Have fun, maybe we'll meet each other at the info breakfast or wine tasting.

Maria

Hi Maria-
Thanks for the comments, just stopped back into TSFMS site today.
I'm not sure which building name at MFV is "E" but we were thinking of trying to reserve the newest, I believe Forest Highlands (would that be "F"?)
Yes, it would be fun to meet. Although I'm not certain what days/times the 2 events you mentioned are held at the resort. We will likely arrive late Tuesday as we will be getting my son from college on the way down to MFV.
My wife and I have 2 sons, late teens. Enjoy the trip and your holiday!

Its nice to hear good things about Fairway Villas. Have been owners there for several years and we always turn it in for points. We may need to give it a try.

Question

Hi,
Very interested in the Marriott Villas in New Jersey, but was advised by "others" that a week there would not have much exchange value. How does an exchange "really" work? I am really confused with this aspect of timeshares. I was also told that Orlando does not have much exchange value either, that exchanges work really well for the Caribbean units and other parts of Florida, like the Keys. Is that info true?
