Marriott newbie question on what to buy

Looking in to getting a Marriott ownership and are eyeing on Frenchman's Cove because this is where we want to go. We want to buy EOY. I have not seen much of EOY sales history on this property to be able to say this is what I want to pay for the week (Gold Season).

I was offered $16K (Gold) from Marriott themselves and there is a listing of 15K (Platinum) from a resale company. I was wondering if any one would know what will be a range I should be paying for an EOY week.

If I don't buy in FC how easy is it to exchange there in July weeks? Which Marriott property should I buy to use as an excellent exchanger within Marriott priority and a good value for my money? Hawaii is also of course in our list to visit but not to buy. Our travel preference will mostly be summer here in Canada and some March break.

Thanks for your help.

Here is a link to a data base where dioxide45 from the tug boards tracks ROFR experiences resale for Marriott:

Right now TS prices are at their very lowest. I'd bet you could pickup a gold EOY for less than $10,000 maybe as little as $8000

I just bought a annual marriott Newport Coast in California for $7500. The best resale price for that last year was about $12,000

Frenchman's Cove is a relatively new resort so there may not be much available on the resale market. I would think July is their off season and hence anything that's available would be significantly less than a winter week.
