I agree with you about using it yourself. I own 3 beach weeks in the summer in FL which obviously for most of the country is off season but for us locals this is when we want to be at the beach so it makes sense for us but I can see how it wouldn't be a good deal for snowbirds. THanks.

But there's still some demand for summer weeks in Florida, because kids are off from school. Low season is really low, low, low in some areas--there is almost NO demand. Like Cape Cod, or Maine, in January and February.

My recommendation is not to buy it. Week 3 is not a desirable week there.
Patience will find you a better deal.

Okay thanks. Now my question is should I focus on buying something like Orlando which seems to have some value almost all year. Honestly I was thinking to avoid Orlando since I own DVC and a VV already there. But would I be able to trade Orlando easier for big cities like San Fran, Boston, France etc. or maybe even Caribbean getaways?

Well makes sense. This is so true about Florida. Once the kids are out of school the beaches are crawling with families. And Orlando when the kids are out of school for any long weekend or break is also crawling with Floridians. Us Floridians like to vacation in our own state. Especially with the Mouse and the Keys and beaches so close by.

Hello from Spain - I do not have the time to read the whole thread but DO NOT buy week 3 in Hilton Head - u can buy Platinum marriott weeks for under 4K at this point..... and get tremendous trading value.
More when I return - gotta run!

Are u kidding - I just returned from a day in Gibraltar and on Monday I was in Tangier, Morocco - no grass grows under these feet.
look at Marriott Horizons Branson Plat, Marriott Legends End Plat (part of the Florida Club so can reserve at Grande Vista, Ocean Point, BeachPlace Towers and Doral Miami)
Gotta go - off to Marbella 'downtown' for tapas and Flamenco!

Thanks Pat. I'll check them out. Good suggestion since I live in FL. Would make good getaways on short notice.
Have a blast and enjoy the Sangria.
