Hello from sunny DSVII in Palm Desert

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know DW and I are having a fabulous time here at DSV II. We have a 1BR in building 322 facing bouganvillas golf course. Directly opposite the unit that has the catalog photo you see in the all of the Marriott online photos. The picture of the large rock garden with the water falls.

So far we have visited the JW property and pools. Not impressed with the JW pools. Crowd was young, rowdy, beer cans, and empty cups littered all round the perimiter of the pool.

Yesterday we went on the PS Tram up Mt San Jacinto. Breathtaking!

Special Thanks to CP73, and Applegirl for all of the great advice.

Enjoy the rest of your trip. I took the tram ride on my last visit, and it was beautiful. I was thinking about sneaking out one of those huge pine cones, but didn't think it was the right thing to do, so I put it back. largest I've ever seen in my life.

Thanks!!!! Sounds great! I'm not sure what you call them, but they were some sort of huge pine cone. Really pretty, and I would paint them for Xmas.

Pine Cones

I believe those cones are from the Jeffrey Pine tree. Those trees are incredible. As well as the pine cones.

If you like the aerial tranway, you also would like visiting Joshua Tree NP. When my BIL visited here for the first time, he liked that the best as they have nothing similar to this landscape. We took him along the coast, SF, Lake Tahoe and even Crater Lake but the desert and Joshua trees impressed him the most. I don't know exactly where you are from so it may be new to you too. Have a great time.
