I suppose I could post all the exchanges I've made over the years using I.I. but, what's the point. It's easiest to say that our experience with Interval has been very good and would go along with what GrayFal has stated.

Unlike Littlestar, we have never booked a getaway so our gold membership meant nothing to us this past year. For us, I only paid for the gold membership for one year because we needed to add some resorts to our II ownership and decided to try that instead of paying the "add a resort fee".

Then new "short stay" feature seems to be a good idea for some members, for people wanting to stay either less than a full week, or more than a full week. Considering that you still pay the full exchange fee, I'm not sure it's a really good value. Considering what you already own and plan way far out, I don't think gold membership would provide you much value.

I would like to know from Grayfal and others.......do you think th eGold membership is worth it and would you suggest others buy it or not???

As most of you know I have many timeshares and though somewhat flexible, I do have to work within hubby's work schedule and so many timeshares along with th efact I am a planner so last minute vacations usually do not work fo rme and for the most part I do not need extra vacations I have hard enough time using what I have LOL.

Thanks all....happy vacations>>>
Gold membership is useful IF u book getaways (more then 2 a year) and if you are interested in the new short stay/split week program.
Otherwise, no, not worth it.

What studio - resort and check-in date please - do you have and how far before check-in date did u deposit?
This will help us to assess how successful u wil be in your II trading.

I found Interval very useful---I have a couple weeks at an "unbranded" silver pineapple resort with a pretty decent supply/demand curve, and got great value out of my II exchanges. However, I mostly used it for Disney, so I'm on the fence about whether to renew or not, as my II-affiliated weeks are also all affiliated with RCI (where I have a "free" RCI account with my Wyndham pionts ownership.)

How do you "browse" through what is available without depositing your week?

I gather from your posts that you sell timeshare in some form or another.

You, on the other hand, have no idea who I am or my knowledge of trading/renting/using. .

I am not someone who bought to use every year but we have many members that do just that. And they are very satisfied whether they bought retail or resale.

The main rule of ownership and even the "evil empire" states clearly in it's propaganda that you should own where you want to use and not expect full value trades for prime holiday weeks if that is what you need.

You did allude to that in your post so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt at the moment. Until you divulge who/what you really are.

We welcome industry people here. The ones that want to help the members with their insight and knowledge anyway. We keep an eye out for vultures though so know that I am watching.
Not a very warm welcome there huh? I'm giving advice to people on a FORUM and your looking after me now.
Also, I think with the user name I have it is quit obvious that I am a rep. Good job captain obvious!
All I'm saying is if you own what everyone wants you get whatever you want This is a forum so what am I doing wrong. I think the problem with timeshare is people like yourself that think all reps are bad in some way... Sorry for giving advice and explaining plain facts! I'm sure there is a better forum than this one if the MODS like yourself are like this....

I have been a rep for 8 yrs and have over 500 owners. The owners who have race week or bike week are the happiest. They trade and get what ever they want.
My Daytona unit is float and I always book either Daytona or Bike Week to give to II. This week sees the same stuff as my average Virginia Time Share. Don't see any special trading power from giving them either of those weeks.

Maybe you have an attitude - kinda like what a timeshare salesman has when he doesn't make the sale. If you think other places have a welcome wagon - you are in for a surprise. FYI Lawren is away for the weekend- but have no fear - I'll be watching you while she's gone..

II is the polar opposite of RCI - all your resorts/weeks are listed in your account.

You click on the 'exchange' screen and
1. click on 'search all destinations' (or single destination or resort codes)
2. Travel window - dates and
3. number of guests - I always leave it on the default 1 - and then hit continue.

You are brought to a page which lists all your ownership weeks -
you click on 'Vacation Exchange' and you are then brought to the next page that has all the availability for the time frame using that particular unit.....

You click on the area u like and if u see something you want you can then exchange - or not.

This is a simple explanation/version
but that it is.....

With II - QUALITY matters - so a Daytona week is going to see less because of the quality filter.... in RCI - a Daytona 500/Bike week will be much more valuable because they value time/place over quality.
