II ShortStays - Confirmed total 7 nights
I have been reading different things about these II short stays.
Originally - I thought you could split up your 7 nights.
6 and 1 5 and 2 3 and 4 whatever combination you wish.
Then I was reading reports that no each short stay is from 2-6 nights and that you could get two 6 night stays out of it.
I called II this morning and asked - they said that is not correct. The total is 7 nights - you split however you want.
Just thought I would clarify for others wondering.

Yeah know.....as I was writing the post I knew someone would pop up and say well.....I was just allowed more than 7 nights split between 2. As always what you are told and what happens can be two different things!
I sure hope that when I split up my week there might be two 6 nights waiting for me to use!!!!

More often that not, one cannot rely on what II guides have to say. I fear their level of training is minimal and not extensive enough.

I'm about ready to purchase couple short stays for some New England ski trips this winter. Has anyone else succesfully used more than 7 days total with two short stays. Example 5 days and 4 days?
Info when this thread was first started was conflicting. Now, that they have been around for a while, just wondering if anyone has used them.

I just booked a short stay for this weekend for a friend. He only needed two nights. The guide told me I could book up to 6, and would have another 6 to use. They seem to be very short notice, so I guess the perk is getting 12 days for a banked week used on short notice and/or off season - and II gets two exchange fees out of it.
I ended up just booking three nights - this way the third day can be relaxed without worrying about checkout time.
Is this only available to Gold members? I didn't mean to renew as Gold, but II did it anyway - I was going to cancel but I guess now I'll keep it for this year.

Short Stays are almost always last minute and/or predicted over supply inventory, just makes sense for maximizing inventory use from the exchange company point of view which we know is the reason for short stays.

So are the short stays only bookable during flex (last 60 days)? Or is it a different time period?

Most of them are last minute. But at times I have seen places like Orlando be almost 4 months out!
