EDB - Edinburgh Residence - what does it take?

When I put in requests for SCOTLAND, it removes EDB. I think it is because my deposit isn't strong enough. Does anyone know what you need as a deposit?

I recall being told that most Marriott's are "A" category and my Marriott Breckenridge is a "B".

So even if I gave up my best deposit is it slim or none that it would get EDB in any August 2011 or 2012. Thanks for any advice.

Also, when we were in Edinburgh this June using Marriott Points I think I saw something that indicated Marriott hotel rates (and probably points amounts if you can use them) are much, much higher in August.
