II offering fewer bonus weeks?

Are you noticing that you are not getting offers of bonus week for deposit as you once did from II ? A result of their "short stay" improvement perhaps? Or ???

I've noted that before if you tried to deposit a week into II and it qualified for an AC the website would let you know. NOW it seems that unless you ask, II will not tell you what weeks they are offering AC for.

This is on top of the significant decrease in AC they are offering.

I have a Christmas week (12-26 to 1-2) at Lake Tahoe and was hoping to get an AC with it. If they don't may have to look around to see what the other exchange companies are offering.

I had trouble getting trades with my (by contract)AC last year- it would not pick up the summer and fall weeks on line I wanted and I finally had to call to get an exchange. Perhaps giving out less ACs will leave more inventory out there for me to access- but usually things in timeshare trading tend to get worse rather than better.

II offered us AC on both of our Ridge Tahoe weeks this year, July 4th and Labor Day week and as every other time we declined.

We always use our July 4th week and this year have our Labor Day week listed for rent and sale.

We love spending our time up at the Ridge every year and some years grab bonus time also so if we want to exchange we use request first.

My AC's showed up without any problems

II didn't send me any promotional information about the availability of ACs for my (non-Marriott) summer Williamsburg unit. But a couple months after I deposited them, the ACs showed up. A pleasant surprise, since I wasn't expecting them.

My rep had called me as few weeks ago to tell me about the short stay for gold members. As good as it sounded I told her that when I need to split my week , That is when I will upgrade to gold, It does not make sense to upgrade now when you may not even use it for now.
