It can be complicated but Sunterra and now DRI have never made it easy (or cheap) for the weeks owner or resale buyer to get into THE Club. You'd think that they would realize that HAPPY Club members make for a good Club.

More Info

Thanks folks, for all the input. I didn't really expect good news. I guess I was a bit vague as to the whole situation. So I'll try to answer all your questions in one post.
I have 10K points that would be freed as well as 10k from last year if I could
afford my MF. But, I can't. If I had any way to do it I wouldn't have posted, pay up and vacation. I'm undergoing extreme financial hardship though.
When I first signed on, it was with the understanding that I could exchange my point to cover my entire MF and only have to cover club dues. When I called to do that in early December DRI told me "sorry your 10k points only will cover 500 dollars towards the MF. So I told them to stick it. Now the balance has got up around 1500 bucks.
So it looks like the only hope is finding someone with 1500 dollars that wants 20,000 points. piece o' cake... not
I have written DRI's loss mitigation dept and requested the execution of a warranty deed to relinquish the TS back to the association. We'll see what they say.
In the meantime, I got a TS in Virginia... house trained... free to a good home.
Thanks again for the responses.
