Revocation/Rescinding Timeshare Grandview Las Vegas Help!!!

Hi! My husband and I went to Vegas and attended one of those timeshare things to get discounted tickets and Well to make a long story really short...We bought on the 8th and rescinded yesterday the 11th. We did exactly as the form said as far as sending in the form via certified mail/return reciept to the ft. lauderdale developer address on the form and also sent one to las vegas as well..It was also mailed certified/return receipt to las Vegas..then we also faxed to Las Vegas via fed ex a rescind form....We have 5 days according to our contract and that's not including the day signed...So We basically have until tomorrow...Called Vegas...They said they recieved fax yesterday and so after further researching on the internet people are stating that they must turn back in contract and materials...but I called vegas and I feel like they are lying to me...There's nothing in my contract stating I need to if I revoke...But will this effect my revocation?? I want to just send it in...But Vegas is acting sketchy and don't seem too sure of themselves and I don't even have a phone number for Flordia to call and ask where to send the materials and also if it is true that they want my contract back, isn't that a bit strange? either way, I'll make a copy....My dertified letters are postdated the 11th...Any advice on what to do further and please hurry with any advise as my 5th day is tomorrow!!! I just don't feel like I can trust anything they say!!

Welcome to TS4Ms!!!

You cannot trust anything they say. The actual contract should not be required, but any membership materials can be required or they can charge you for them. Despite anything they say, it sounds like you have fulfilled the actual rescission requirements. Take a deep breath and relax, mail any extraneous materials to the same address the forms required.

Thanks for your quick response....I will send the rci book and materials in the morning to the developer...I should probably do that certified as well...Thanks for the help!! Oh and one more thing, because I panicked I called credit card and cancelled payment and they said I should get a new card altogether, so I did...But we put the remainder on our debit...Do you think my cancelling payment on the credit card will harm us getting our refund on the debit? thanks!!

It shouldn't, by law they are obligated to return payments.

thanks again...I'm so worried about all this...You just would not believe how slimy these people are...If for some reason I don't get out of this contract and I don't see how I wouldn't be able to because followed all instructions carefully...But I can't help but think these people will do anything to stick me to this contract...like refuse my certified mail or something...then what? according to them today, They say they have 15 days to refund us...If they don't honor my revocation form then my next step would call a lawyer correct? Show him my certified letter receipts and contract with my copy of my revocation form and go from there..I know I sound crazy...but like I said these people are manipulators...and every single person I talked to today to follow up seemed so sketchy and deceiving.one lady was like a wolf in sheeps clothing..But, I could see she was going to be no help. She wouldn't give me a straight answer about the materials and finally said I could either send them to her or Florida... (which I'm sending them to the El derado in florida....I don't trust one person at the grandview) and that lady had the nerve to ask me if she could ask me why I was rescinding...who cares the reason...It's my right..and she wasn't even the sales person...What does she care??..

Talking Take a deep breath

you have followed the rules, they will refund your payment, they will take up to the 15 days to do it, so please calm down, it isn't worth losing sleep or have a coronary over.

Please don't let them keep renting space in your head for free..

fwiw,

Greg
