Angry RCI accounting software 'glitches'

Have other people experienced RCI accounting software 'glitches' recently?

When I called RCI starting Saturday, I was told "You need to take care of the $248 you owe RCI before we can do anything with you." I asked them to look at the credit RCI owed me. They said "Oh, we see we owe you $861 but you owe us $248."

I spoke to a RCI Supervisor for the first time Sunday. She said the accounting department wouldn't be open on Monday.

Luckily I have only used 2 credit cards for RCI fees. I need to reconcile the charges/credits. I was told it could take 30 days for the credit to come back to the credit card. Someone else told me it depends on the credit card so I will probably call them.

When I confirmed RCI exchanges in addition to the $124 fee, it was requiring me to pay an extra $248 for one, then $372 for another. I am not sure if this happened before and I didn't notice.

When I called RCI points for the first time six weeks ago they told me we have a credit of $720. I was surprised. They told me when our weeks contract was upgraded to RCI points, the membership can only be paid 5 years in advance and since the weeks account had paid RCI weeks membership much further out it created the credit.

I asked if they could refund the $720 credit and got different answers from different VGs. Eventually they said that it is only refundable if we had paid the membership fee. Since the resort paid it as part of our original contract, then we can only use the credit for certain kinds of fees.

I was told the $26 fee per week for point for deposit was not able to be used against the credit. Then the RCI Supervisor told me on Sunday that it can but the computer can't do it automatically so the VG has to get a supervisor to do it manually.

I have had similar issues with RCI's accounting. It takes some careful separate record-keeping to stay on top of them, and even then it is not easy to get them to correct errors.
