I just paid $17 to fill a 20lb tank.

Haven't had ours filled yet for the season. We'll probably pay the same as you.

we haven't filled ours yet either, but it's a good reminder!

First, we have to clean the mice out of the grill

Except when you turn the grill on high to burn off the grates, and you forget about it for the evening.
Been there, done that!

Kurt

(Otherwise, it is great...)

I use it for home heating. Can't wait for the next time I need to call to fill a 500 gallon tank.

Ouch

Last year I paid $13 for the 20lb tank. I gotta hunch I am going to be in the same price range as you right coasters. I keep a pair of tanks, one for the little 'hot' grill for the steaks, and one for the Holland grill for the burgers and chicken. Taste treat is smoking the chicken in the smoker with some hickory, then finishing on the grill with the bbq sauce. Oooo, I just talked myself into a Sunday dinner plan.

Just filled 2 tanks it was $3.00 per gallon plus tax. For the two tanks they took about 9 gallons total and it was a little over $ 30.00.

20# tank exchanges at Home Depot, Lowes and Wal-Mart here in Fort Myers, FL have all been running around $18. Pretty bad when you consider that these tanks contain 17# of propane or roughly 4 gallons. Even filling your own tank is only going to get you around 18# because of the new style OPD valves.
