Which section in Sheraton Vistana is best?

If I wanted to rent and/or buy a one week timeshare at the Sheraton Vistana in Orlando, which section is the most desirable? I have never been there and there are so many sections it is confusing. Has anyone stayed there since the renovation? I would definitely want updated unit.

Stayed in the fountain section and yes it was remodeled and gorgeous. I think anything in the remodeled sections would be nice. I'd rent first and explore the place if I were you. The 2 bedroom we stayed in was lakefront with a fountain in the lake (actually it's more like a pond). But a beautiful resort. If I didnt own DVC, I'd buy here in a heartbeat.

All of Sheraton should be updated by January 2011 from what I'm hearing.

We stayed in Springs a couple of years back, and for us it was ideal. By that, I mean it was fairly centrally located, so it was pretty easy to get to the other sections, but it wasn't overly busy and crowded. The Springs has its own small pool and activities center, so there's stuff to do on the resort, but you can also enjoy some quiet time. It's a short hop to the Cascades pool if you want that action.

It also slept 8, which was important to us.

Why not post them here so we can all benefit from the information? Are they "super-secret"? I am interested in this as well, as we may be staying there next year.

They come from a resale agent. He was in Starwood's owner services department before getting into resales, and still has a great relationship with Starwood (which I guess is why he received the refurbishment brochures). I'll send you a pm with his contact info.

Can anyone tell me whether the Springs renovations are complete or near complete? (The brochures say completed in June 2009)

We like Springs the best -- in a unit overlooking the pond. We'll be staying at Vistana for 2 weeks in August, but don't know whether to request Springs or not.
