Sunday Tour 6/1/08

I will be going on a tour of Bonnet Creek on Sunday. I went to an open house they had a few weeks ago in the 4 BR Presidential Suite and it was AMAZING! They are building an entire building of just Presidential Suites. This was one of the nicest resorts I have seen personally.

I will let you know how my Sunday goes

Since Bonnet Creek trade with RCI I am in the dark about what it takes to stay there. Approx. how many points does it take to stay a week in a 2 bedroom? I think Fairfield property works with points don't they ... sorry I am confused and still learning. We want to purchase another time share that will trade into Bonnet Creek or Disney.

Bonnet Creek is very rarely deposited in RCI---there have been only a few sightings spotted here and there. That could change going forward, but my experience is that DVC via II is more likely.

Robin,

If you are asking about FSP points in the Wyndham program, the points for a 2BR are as follows:

Value season = 112,000
High season = 189,000
Prime season = 224,000

If you are looking to buy a timeshare, Wyndham points are a fantastic bargain right now, especially on Ebay. The above would give you an idea of how many points you would need for a week in a 2BR.

I don't belong to II, only RCI, but from what I hear it is rare to get a trade into a 2BR unit in one of the DVC resorts. Bonnet Creek is just now starting to show up in RCI, but not very many 2BR units.

Good Luck with whichever way you decide to go.

As far as I know, none of the Wyndhams do.

Also, Wyndham has been dropping a few more of these units into the RCI spacebank lately. There were some nice 1BRs and even a few 2BRs in Feb/Mar, which is getting to be prime time.

Still and all, if this resort is a priority for you on a regular basis, I think it's easier (though less cost-effective) to buy some Wyn points for the purpose. Figure the annual cost of a Wyn point is about $5/K, so a 2BR peak week is about $1120 if booked straightforwardly through FairShare plus. Not the very best you could do, but not bad all things considered.
