Wink Stay on Anna Maria Island

We will be staying at Via Roma Beach Resort on Anna Maria Island in April and wondered if anyone could help with things to do and restaurants in that area. This is a part of Florida we have never been. We hear the beaches are beautiful there and it is peaceful.

Thanks for your help !

Restaurant Guide for Anna Maria Island, Holmes Beach, Bradenton & Sarasota

There is a little plaza behind Umbrella Beach Club. Peaches is a great breakfast place we enjoyed. Shells is in the same plaza but we did not eat there. Also is a grocer, drug store and a bank.

We also ate at the Rod N Reel for lunch. People fish off the pier. It is not fancy in any way but grouper sandwiches were $6 and the bay view was great.

Anna Maria is nice and quiet than the more congested traffic areas.

We like to eat at Shells. There's one really close.

There's a little shopping area nearby, with cutesy little shops, ones I don't go into.

All of Sarasota is nearby.

You can see the Skybridge from the pier at the north end of the island.

We own at Longboat Bay Club and really enjoy the area. I just like the feel of Anna Marie Island. So relaxing. Hope the developers don't spoil it someday. Here's our list of places to eat.
Manatee Public Beach-Cafe on the Beach. Great all you can eat pancakes and sausage. Love it.
Beach House-on the beach.
Rod and Reel
Rotten Ralph's
St. Armands is a great place with numerous restaurants and also fun to people watch and shop.
We liked Cha-Cha Coconuts.
Columbia Restaurnat
Tommy Bahama-ate there but was pricey.
BTW, we used the map PCgirl posted years ago for our 1st trip

Have a great time and tell us what you find you like and share it with us!!!

Mote Marine is a great place to visit. They also have a water tour that is very good.
