ILX Premiere Vacation Club files for bankruptcy

Anyone heard anything about this, all II exchanges to ILX Premiere Vacation Club space canceled?

its true. i had multiple weeks cancelled. its turns out that the company i bought these weeks from (ilx) is going bankrupt... so all the owners are screwed. i have tried calling the company but only get the full run around.

This will be an interesting topic to follow - I can't imagine Los A in Sedona is gonna give up all those MF's - actually wondering how many different deeds - clubs - organizations are involved with Las A ? I am sure ILX is only one - -

I have not heard anything with relationship to PVC in Sedona, but the Rancho Manana Resort has had problems, because of the mixed use element of the resort....

Just did a very quick search at II, and I see lots of inventory at ILX properties in Arizona, except Rancho Manana....so I am thinking that this might be related only to that resort....could OP and others be clearer as to which exchanges have been canceled?

But I got a bit - well - one night - and I had a crowd outside 'our' two bedroom 2 bath- gosh this is nice place - looking at the red rocks - that is a
CALIFORNIA Condor sitting on the ledge over THERE ----- then some MO (like in missouri ) brought over a pair of GOOD binoks - hell - it was a tree !!!!! -

Sure, having a good pair of binoculars will clear up one's vision....but have you heard anything or had an exchange canceled at a Premier VC property?

ILX has been expanding big in the Sedona region....so this rumor seems very surprising....they just completed the renovations on Bell Rock Inn, and they launched the festival of lights, and there are plans for a huge ILX project in the area near Los Abrigados.

There have been reports for the last few months that an arm of ILX has declared bankruptcy. An Interval International rep did confirm in August that a number of ILX reservations had been canceled by the individual resorts themselves, and Interval had to notify members that were effected by the exchange cancellations. When I called ILX for details, I was promptly placed into the voicemail of the Club CFO and told that any info would have to come directly from her.. After a few tries without a return call- I took the hint!

ILX sells via many different venues, and as numerous corporate entities. So far, only the non-deeded Premiere Vacation Club members have been reported to be effected. If this info is correct- the deeded owners should not be effected directly- but the club owners will be in limbo and any pending club reservations will most likely not be honored by the individual resorts. If you have a sale or rental in place for any ILX property- you will want to ensure you check on the status routinely over the next few months.

The real test will come when the individual resorts try to compensate for the huge loss in income from the defaulting Club memberships and fees.
