New Trade Tests

It's that time again. We need to update the trade tests. < and YES I know the results disappeared from the sticky when we changed servers. Not to worry I have the original still >

So the question is do we have enough interest in doing them?

Please take the poll and click on all options that apply to you.

We will work out the when at a later point.

Thanks.

I see that the options aren't populating. I have reported the trouble and hope to get it fixed shortly.

These are the poll choices:

Option 1: Yes. RCI Weeks 0 0%
Option 2: Yes. RCI Points 0 0%
Option 3: Yes. Interval International 0 0%
Option 4: No. Why do we even bother doing these anymore? 0 0%

Question

New here. What is a trade test and what is it trying to accomplish? I am a member of both RCI and II.

Welcome Farscape. :wave2:

Good Question.

Every once in a while a bunch of us get together and run a "Trade Test" with the various weeks we have deposited < or in the case of II, registered> in our accounts.

We search for the same exact areas, at the same time and e-mail the results. The results are then compiled and shared with the volunteeers that participated in the test.

We use our live chat system while we are running the tests.

It is interesting to see which weeks will get what results. Some are very large surprises!

This provides the membership some data if they are shopping for a new week. It may also influence changes you would like to make to your timeshare portfolio. Such as selling a week, purchasing points, buying into one of the chains.

Timeshare trade power is dynamic and with the changes in the industry a Trade Test helps us make more educated decisions about where we deposit our weeks.

How come the poll's wonky? I could see it before I voted and the options were as Lawren had noted on her post. However, now that I've voted, the options are all off.

Gordon,

Frank nor I can figure out what is wrong with the poll. The votes are being tallied correctly <Thank Goodness!>

Hoping Quarterbore can fix this if he gets a spare minute or 5.

In the meantime, the options are as I originally posted at the top tof the thread. If you click on "View Poll Results" everything is there.

I would be interested in seeing the results, but don't currently have anything to trade and search with. Do I understand only those participating will see the results?

I voted yes to the first three choices because I can participate in any of them, but obviously, I'll need to be assigned because I can't do all three at once.
