Just returned from Atlantic Palace
We were in unit #2909...29th floor, one bedroom, beautiful view. Location is about 6 blocks from the Caesars pier..had a great weekend on bonus time. Our unit had just been renovated and was great...granite counters, flat screens...work still needs to be done in the bathroom. The "Bluegreen units" are apparently all like that. At the pool, we were the only ones in that situation...from what we heard, the other units are in dire need of refurbishment.
We went to the update and were told that "the wrecking ball" was coming in September, and floor by floor they were going to methodically redo the whole thing. If they do everything that they told us, it's going to be a great resort.
One thing, they have a wonderful pool area with a large deck looking out over the ocean. There is no indoor pool, and the pool was FREEZING. They really need to heat the pool as well as have an indoor one...but at least heat the one that they have.
Overall, a great bonus time weekend getaway.

We have stayed there a couple of times, the last about 5 years ago. Each time, our condo, 1 br also on higher floors, was just lovely and spacious. When we were there last, they told us about the floor by floor refurbishment. Glad to hear that they are doing a great job.

I was there visiting some tug friends about 6 years ago. I think they had just started refurbishing units. I agree this place is a big score. Large units.

Holly, we will be going there over Labor day weekend. Did you request a room before you went?
I called about a month ago and they wouldn't even confirm my reservation (through Skyauction via RCI) until 1 week before. I would love a renovated unit.
I thought their website said that the pool was heated? That's a disappointment.
Thanks,
Anne

I'm a Bluegreen owner, and booked through Bluegreen. It probably would not hurt to call the resort. Let us know how you make out.

Atlantic Palace - AC ?????
OK i'm confused where is this Atlantic Palace Resort? The only one that I am aware of is in Atlantic City and I have stayed there and it's a dump.
Also Atlantic Palace In AC is part of Fantasea resorts and not Bluegreen so again I am confused here??????

There are other resorts in which Bluegreen has some inventory, another vacation club has some inventory, and the original fixed and/or flex owners have some inventory.
I will let others confirm that it is in Atlantic City.

BG bought out the units from Fantasea. They have renovated a few rooms, and it is those that they are putting BG owners in. (At least that's what they told us).
You are correct....most of the rooms are dumps....at least that was the consensus out by the pool. The resort has potential though, and our unit was great.

We've been there twice, and loved it. We had a large one bedroom. Ask for a higher unit...they may hem and haw about it, but it's worth the hassle.
