TS4MS LOGO Contest - Please Help Us Get a Logo - Cash Prizes!

The TimeshareForums.com is pleased to announce a public competition to design a new logo. Entry to the competition is open to all forum members.

------ ------ ------ ------ CONTEST RULES ------ ------ ------ ------

Purpose:

To design a logo symbol for TimeshareForums.com which will be
used for the web site, clothing, hats, software media labels,
printed matter, and so on. This list is not exhaustive.

Guidance on what we will be looking for:

* The Logo should include TimeshareForums.com and/or TS4MS
* The logo must be identifiable by people that see it.
* The logo must be original work of the submitter.
* The logo should be usable in monochrome and color media
* The logo must not infringe on other copyrights or trademarks
* The logo should be usable for stationary, website, or clothing

Submission deadline:

30 April 2006 at 12:00PM (NOON) EST

Participation:

The competition is open to all designers, both professional and
non-professional. Participation can only take place in a private
personal capacity.

Prizes:

$100.00 First Place
$ 50.00 Second Place

Submission format:

Each submission should include the following:

* JPEG, GIF, PNG, or similar with a resolution of 640 x 480.
* Design concept / description.
* Submitter's Member Name

Copyright assignment

Quarterbore Inc, owner of TS4MS.com will acquire ownership of
the winning logo by assignment of copyright, and the winning
designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all
other rights related to the design (paperwork will be required).

By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer
acknowledges that he/she is the person that made the logo and
is its rightful owner.

The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the
rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.

Compensation

* Designs will not be returned to the designers.
* No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost,
delayed or damaged.
* Any submissions which the Judges can not view will not be
considered (Note- If uploaded to PhotoServer we can Judge it!

Submission Process:

Images for consideration shall be uploaded to the Photoserver at:

On April 30, 2006 at 12:00PM EST (Noon) the Directory will be
closed preventing any new entries (NO EXCEPTIONS). The Staff at
TimeshareForums.com will pick the two winners based on the
criteria above. Winners will be contacted and given the opportunity
to complete the required paperwork and claim their prize.

My wife just looked at the logos that were made and she came up with a good idea. Using the plain Timeshare logos that are there now. Use one like that and have a globe in the center and in each of the 4 corners have an image of the Eiffel tower, Skis or Snowboard, a cliff overlooking the water, a hammock in between two palm trees. Now it does not have to have those pictures but it is the idea of having some sort of pictures on there instead of it just being plain.

How will the winner be chosen? Should we all be posting opinions here, or is that premature?

It is premature to talk about winners, etc...

The problem is the main logo I pick will be the one that I hope I can move forward with the trademark. I am not looking to come up with a shirt or hat logo as much as a legalized trademark that could later be incorporated into other graphics... I have specific needs for this logo and a popular vote may give me a winner that I can not use for what I need to use it for. For that reason, I am reserving all rights on how the top prize winner will be selected.

Now, after the official logo is pickedl, we will be looking for some graphics that can be used for making shirts, hats, etc... If people want to submit graphics like this now there is a good chance we will be offering at least a couple $50 second place prizes for those types of logos and/or graphics.

I hope that makes sense...

There have been some really good idea and designs submitted so far. For my two cents worth. I think for the Logo we are looking for something that is professional and looks good and that folks will be proud to wear out in public and represent the site. We are looking for something with class for our Logo and first design. Then maybe late on, if we want to add to the collection we can some more fun designs. Kinda, like in college when we had numerous T shirts for special occasions.

Just two weeks left...

We would love to see more designs submitted and we will be having a Members Choice Drawing for the two $50 prizes early next month. The members choice design can be a logo, graphic, or design that could be useable for hats, shirts, etc...

The $100 grand prize will chosen by myself and Frank... That logo needs to be a simpler design.
The two $50 will be voted on by the members.

So, there is $200 in prizes up for grabs and two weeks left to get them submitted...

This contest ends on Sunday... On sunday afternoon we hope to announce the winner of the Grand prize for the official LOGO as well as kick off the members choice contest for the two runners up prizes...

The grand prize will only go to simpler designs... but ... runner up prizes can be chosen by members however they choose to to vote... These logos will get sent out to make mugs, hats, shirts, sweatshirts, etc for the members of the site. The official logo has other places to go and become

I had received a PM back before we had the server roll-back and sorry I lost it... the PM was with three lines of text as a slogan and the person asked if they could sumbit it... Members that can not get a graphic up may post the idea here and someone else can enter it in the contest for you...

I am going to try to recover that PM off the recovered database so it is in the contest for consideration...
