Do they need to have a lock? Do the locks make them hard to clean?

I like the ones with the thumb slid. If it just has a hole and the coffee cup drops the coffee will go all over the floor. I have droped the ones with the thumb slid and hardly a drop comes out. Note the ones I like are the ones you slide from right to left or left to right. I hate the ones that you have to push down on.

I am interested in the travel mugs that fit in the cup holders of the car, I also like the sliding tops. 16 oz. please....
A golf shirt with a small logo on the front only is also a nice look.

Frank,
Those mugs are through a different company than Cafe Express... The locks all slide closed front to back, they are more slides than locks according to the salesperson I spoke with. Mugs with thinner "lips" have the plastic on top, styles to consider include:
http://www.discountmugs.com/steel_tr...-star-grip.htm
http://www.discountmugs.com/steel_st33-travel.htm (I like the cobalt blue)
http://www.discountmugs.com/travel-m...o-standard.htm
But these have to be ordered in bulk to save $. I can order some samples at $5 each to be credited toward the purchase if you want me to, but please confirm that we can deal with them like this since it's not the cafe express people.

that's what I thought. oh well. But now that I had my heart set on one, I will have to go by a generic one. We have a few left from our run, but they are too small...

If people want some other items that need to be purchased "out of pocket" we can do it as a group buy but Frank will need to be responsible for all merchandise. If he wants to start a list and see how many people he can get to commit and then collect the money and place an order that is up to him...
I sure don't have the time or energy to do that myself!
Otherwise, this thread really was to get an idea of what items (SPECIFICALLY) that we should order from the CAFE as we should be able to get things started this week but we don't want to put stuff in motion that nobody wants to buy!

Sorry, didn't mean to cause any problems. I had no idea that the companies were not related. I found it by clicking on travel mugs from the Café Express site.....
Paying as you go,makes a lot of sense, and will be easier for everyone.

Angela,
NO worries! It was a fun exercise, and maybe we'll get to do some for the 4ms later... the prices for bulk are really good.
