Is it snowing where you are?
Storms are not here yet in the Pocono Mountains. We're only expected to get 3-6". Philly is bracing for a top ten snowstorm. It amazes me that Philly normally gets so little snow when it is so cold there in the winter.
So what's it doing where you are? Those of you in warm areas, you really don't need to chime in and tell us how nice your weather is!

We lucked out and just got 2 inches and then rain washing it away. We were lucky that we didn't get the ice storm that was predicted. shaggy

Yeah, we don't need to hear about your sunny, 80+ degree days, with cool ocean breezes.
Nothing here yet on LI....I'm not really sure what we are gonna get. I think the south shore may be getting hit worse then the north shore, this time around.

Indy!
Been snowing all day here! It's gorgeous!!!
We're not far into the most intense of the snowing, apparently, and already have 3-4" on the ground, depending, and that doesn't count what didn't stick from the morning. high winds, limbs in the yard when I got home before 4 pm. couple more down. they were forecasting up to 10" slightly east of us, and into Ohio. If it really does continue to snow like this into tomorrow, we could have a foot.
it's not really cold so driving is thick snow and slush. where we live it's not plowed, and a school bus was just stopped outside our drive for a while, I think waiting for people to come get their kids instead of attempting to venture further into the hills. I just don't expect to see the school bus that late (after 6), so, they've been on that thing a while.
I'm glad I left work when I did. another hour and it would have been far dicier once I left the main road.
So, eh, hard to say how it will go where you are - some places south were s'posed to get freezing rain to start, so may have been a mess all day. We didn't get rain before the snow but it's been hanging around right at 32 all day. it'll be a mess when it dips, and the winds will make flat highways a skating rink, and slushy streets a bumper field of rutty ice.
we're staying put. wherever you are, be safe.
I'm just grooving on the winter wonderland. it's pretty, it muffles other sounds and creates a stillness that is therapeutic for me. I don't hate the snow. just sometimes the inconvenience. I'm home, dry, and, eh, "beveraged", so, all is well in the quiet whiteout world.

Nothing here and nothing expected for a change, but I'll be on the road in the morning for a 70 mile trip south where there is a 30-40% chance of some snow.

Nothing here yet. I think they have finally forecast about 3 inches. My nephew is in a big wrestling tournament tomorrow, and they have called a 2 hour delay.
