What is the likelyhood

of Four Seasons Troon in the summer (2nd half of June - end of August 2010)? I'm not sure if its possible to get an Arizona summer week through SFX.

Daileyad - thank you for your post.

It's difficult to say. I don't know the week you are depositing, which means I don't know it's trading power at this point. Also, Four Seasons Owners rarely exchange their units because they are buying into the "Four Seasons Experience", a level of service and product associated more with a fine hotel /Private Residence Club..... something they would not get elsewhere trading out of their network of properties. So their propensity is to exchange internally amongst their sister Four Seasons properties.

Although we cannot give odds of fulfillment, based on the above, and erring on the side of caution, although possible it's more appropriate for us to advise, less likely... than likely.

For you to get the most out of your timeshare interest, keeping in mind the goal is to go somewhere for a "great vacation", you must keep your options open and be as flexible as possible.

Although it would be nice to exchange into a Four Seasons, there are also many other wonderful resort out there that will provide you and your family a great vacation experience.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,
Mark @sfx

I like to dream big...

Okay, here's another one. What are our odds of trading into 2 units, the same week, in manhattan during Summer 2011?

Very unlikely. Manhattan has only a couple of quality TS properties. The ownership for major cities has a different dynamic than resort areas. With city ownership, most of the owners use their time. The propensities for those who buy in major city is to visit for the "city experience" (opera, symphony, theatre, ballet, shopping, dining, business etc.) and they can use it a day at a time just like a hotel. They purchase more for personal usage than exchanging.

Factor those points along with NY has global-demand year round except for Jan - Feb. Bottom line.... Demand is far greater than the supply of exchangeable space, plus with such limited space, we want to make sure as many different Members have access to NY as possible.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,

Thanks Mark. It sounds like pulling 2 units is pretty hard. What about getting into a full 1 bedroom Manhattan Club unit between June 20 and end of August, 2011? Does SFX have a relationship with Manhattan Club? I thought I had heard that. Thanks!

Daleyad - What week would you be depositing for this exchange? (Resort name, unit size and date).

Thanks,

It's a Sheraton Desert Oasis 1 bedroom premium villa with full kitchen. I would expect I could get a reservation for anytime in November or December, maybe weeks 51 or 52 even?

Within the time of year you mention, it would need to be the Holiday week of either Thanksgiving, Xmas or the New Year week.

Although we are not allowed to guarantee future availability for exchanges, I would strongly suggest depositing the week and placing your request. We do receive a number of deposits from New York.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,

Allright Mark, you got Christmas week from us deposited today. Hoping SFX comes through with New York for us. Am I correct that we can't put in a request yet even though we deposited since we're looking for Summer 2011 (we're gold members).
