Cruise Travel?

Hi Mark it is rare I ask a Question here but I Just booked last week the Oasis of the Sea's ship for July with RCI. I got a great deal with what they call there Travel Perks program, Saved me about $400 PP. Any way I just received an email saying you sell Royal Caribbean which is the same line as what I booked. Could I have gotten the same or better deal dealing with you?

I booked a D4 Ocean view cabin with porch on the starboard side of the ship so I can smoke Cigars outside my room. Total for 2 was just at $3500 that includes all charges and gratuities. Could I have done better going with SFX?

Frank... There is an Eastern Caribbean itinerary on the Oasis of the Seas sailing on July 03, 17 and 31 as well as a Western Caribbean itinerary on July 10 and 24. I can look into this more once I know which we are looking at so that I'm sure to compare apples to apples.

Please advise...

Thanks,

Frank,

You'll love this ship. We sailed her last week. As soon as we got home, we booked a cruise on her sister ship Allure for 2011 and it's not an itenerary that we find particularly attractive.

Here's a link to the photo's I have up so far. I still have more to upload and I need to rearrange some toward the end but, it will give you a glimpse into the biggest cruise ship on the sea's.

Frank... did you use one of your weeks in exchange? or was it a straight-out purchase?

Also, did the price include any insurance?

I am out of town on business, but will get a price for you later in the afternoon.

Thanks,

No exchange it was with the Travel Perks program, No insurance but it does include all taxes and fees plus all Gratuities are all included. I think I might be beyond the point were I can get a 100% refund now. I think I would have to forfeit part of my deposit at this point it may not pay to cancel unless you could save me enough to cover my loss with them and still make it worth while to cancel. It will be good to know if you could beat or match this price for the future.

Hi Frank... here is the pricing with SFX Platinum Rewards.

Oasis of the Seas
D4 Cabin with balcony
7 day Eastern Caribbean

Royal Caribbean's publicly advertised base price is: $4,102
Other company charged: $3,500
SFX Platinum Rewards $3,303 inc. taxes. Plus gratuity of $68.25 pp. = $3,439.50

We are $60.50 less... BUT, with us you would have received in addition a $100 on board credit, plus two Royal Caribbean Robes valued at $80.

So in this instance we were a slightly better value.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,

Frank, usually with cruises you get ALL your money back if u cancel before the final payment date - generally 60-90 days before.

It sounds as if u should look further into the cancelation policy as u r 6 moths out.
