It looks like you can either deposit your week online through I.I., or by calling your home resort. Is there any reason not to do it online?

I always call in to II to deposit my weeks to see if I am entitled to an AC before I commit.

Floating weeks where you have reserved a week and want to deposit, are not doable on line.

Accomodation Certificate, also called a bonus week.

I can deposit my Marriott floating weeks on line.

All my weeks are floating and I always deposit online. Some require the confirmation # and a unit size code; all require the reservation date. I also check if a deposit will receive an AC but this shows up online during the deposit process. Sometimes a call to II will let you know what reserved weeks will be eligable so you know before you make your reservation. It can be different from year to year.

Because I try to almost always deposit a supplemental week, I have to call.

I deposit a supplemental week when I use only a part of my points and still have points left over. For some reason if I do it online, II assumes that I've used all my points for the year and no longer allows me to view my weeks which I have left.
