Good morning everyone! Has anyone taken advantage yet of Cheapskate Wednesday at winestilsoldout.com? I actually forgot about it until I got to my desk this morning............

I would love to hear people's opinions whenever they see a good or bad wine, please. I've got a very small stash of whites so am definitely looking for some whites.......and wouldn't mind a couple of new reds.

Happy shopping :)

You missed a nice Tocai last night before the event started. Look for the thread in this forum.

That sounds about right.......day late, dollar short! I'm afraid when that fun was going on last night I was at an animal shelter and then went right to son's hockey practice and didn't get home until 11:15 :(

They may put some more up later. Though if I recall correctly it sold out and they put up something else afterwards. But don't fret, they'll be something else for you today!

Chardonnay up now for $6.99. I don't know anything about it, though, my chardonnay tastes lean toward oakier wines.

The Chardonney is gone. Now it's a Chianti that sounds good. Any takers?

I agree it sounds good; I'm not a big chianti drinker. It's also only 25% off...

I ordered 4 bottles. I LOVE chianti. Plus, it was a whole lot less than the $49.99/bottle that was up a few days ago.

The 6.99 Montepulciano up now sounds good. I generally like them, but never tried one so inexpensive...

eta: it was gone fast!

I know you like those.. but this one is 2006 and from Oregon... is Pinot Noir usually good that young?

I'd pass. If it was a California Pinot and not so young I might try it. Frank knows a lot about Italian wines.

eta: I found a review of the 2003 that was decent, not raving, with a suggested price of $14. And the stuff is still sitting there, so others would seem to agree ;)

Well, it's gone now...........and I didn't buy any. :p

Seems like there have been quite a few inexpensive whites up, both today and in the past few days. Too bad they're too late for Wacky. :cry2:

Casa Catelli Primitivo IGT Puglia 2003 at $8.99/bottle

I just ordered 6. I'm 99% sure this is the one I loved the last time I got some. At least, I sure hope it's the same one. :woot:

I had been peeking periodically, and I saw several that looked good, but by the time I went back to the website, they were already gone. I even tried to catch the Casa Catelli Primitivo, but it disappeared. Guess I'll just have to "sit" on my computer all evening once I'm done here at work.........

that's the one I didn't like, but maybe I opened a bad bottle. I remember you had a similar problem, so I guess the rest was better?

Glitter, what was that good white with the screw-top? Did they have that one again? Did I miss it? Not that it matters, I'm off to buy a case of my $4.50 pinot grigio tomorrow. Yum yum! Party at my house!

hmm, can't remember, but I haven't seen it today, though I did leave for a while to have some semblance of a life ;) I would love to see that Pouilly Fuisse for $8.99 again, that was a fantastic bargain!

I think I still have a bottle of that--it was good, too, but I actually liked the screwtop stuff better. It was a tiny bit less dry. But still dry.
