I told RCI that the exchanges were gotten with my friend's points who tranferred them into my account. RCI said it didn't matter. As long as I owned points at a resort in Orlando I cannot exchange into DVC. They did say I could exchange on the weeks side as long as I did not own any weeks in Orlando. I love going to Disney and I didn't want any future hassles so I immediately sold my points in Orlando (I had it sold and closed within 2 weeks!) Now I don't have to worry about the regional block! Kind of drastic I know, but that is how much we love staying at DVC!

Thank you for sharing that. I had never even heard of a regional block on points. I like when I learn something new ( but not necessarily what I learned ).
Just to clarify; is it owning points in Orlando or owning points in Florida?
