Using RCI Points for a Wyndham Hotel

I'm waiting on RCI to open a new points membership but I'm interested in how many points they would charge per night June 3rd - June 13th at the Wingate by Wyndham in Commack/Long Island NY.
One room and two beds.

If there are other locations available on Long Island during that time I might be interested. Montauk and Gurneys usually don't become available through exchanges in the summer.

Thank you for your consideration.

"Exchange your points today by calling 1-877-968-7476."

Ask them.

Thank you for your response and I will call and ask but I don't have a RCI points account yet so I don't have the points available yet to trade.
I received a email response from RCI today that they received my application and it will be processed in the order it was received.
I want to be able to make reservations for the dates my point total won't cover but I don't know how many points that location requires per night.
I know the range but not the specific amount.
Thanks again!

The new limit on Point Partner bookings does not make any of the points transactions seem very worth the cost per point. The limit I think is 1/3 of your annual allotment towards hotel/air/car reservation on a points plus cash program. I sold my points resort so have not inquired about this but recieved emails up to about 2 months ago.

Maybe some current points owners can shed some light on this. From what I remember reading was not a good value.

I've checked with RCI online and there is no mention in the catalogue for the Wyndam Commack in Long Island N.Y. There is 92 Wyndam resorts covered on RCI worldwide but that one isn't covered.

That's interesting!
It is actually in Brentwood.

This is the address:
Wingate by Wyndham
801 Crooked Hill Road
I-495E exit 52/I-495W exit 53
Brentwood, NY 11717 US

Thank you for your assistance.
Are there any Hotels available on Long Island available with RCI points?

I may have misunderstood how the whole RCI points partners hotel stay thing works because I've never used it but I was under the impression that you trade your points in for a discount off the "RCI rate". You tell the VC where you want to stay and if the hotel participates the VC will quote you the rate for the number of days you want to stay. http://www.rci.com/CDA/Common/Docume...ners-en_US.pdf Points partner program detail. For example 12,500 points will give you a discount of $120; 20,000 points $180; 25,000 points $235;45,000 points $440; etc

You can only use 25,000 points or 1/3 of your annual points allotment whichever is greater per calander year and there is a $29 transaction fee. So for 25,000 points your discount would be $206 off the rate.

The following is the cost to use RCI points:

RCI Points Partners® Transaction Fees

Partners Res - Hotel
$29 USD

Partners Res - Entertainment (per ticket/pass)
$29 USD

The fees above are what you pay upfront and then you add the points total on top of that.

You asked about Long Island resorts, there are 2 of them. Gurney's Inn Resort & Spa in Montauk RCI catalogue #0342, the amount of points required for a 1 week stay in a 1 bedroom unit would be:
Weeks 21 - 25 = 37,500 RCI points
Weeks 26 - 33 = 47,000 RCI Points
a 2 bedroom costs more points a studio costs less points

The 2nd resort is the Montauk Manor RCI catalogue #1717, this doesn't appear to be a Points resort but you would have to talk to a RCI rep as some "Weeks" resorts are also available with points.

As well as the above you can also find a regular hotel in Long Island and then use up to 1/3rd of your points to offset the cost of the hotel stay.

Hope this helps a little
