Renting/Leasing questions

Hello,
I'm new to the forum.
We currently own a Bluegreen Points Timeshare. We have owned the timeshare for 3 years and have yet to use any points. We Bonus timed it one weekend and that was it. With me getting a new job, new house and a baby now we will not be able to use the timeshare for the next couple of years (at the least). We have already been beat up by BlueBayAdvisors when they promised they could sell the timeshare for what we paid for it, if we paid for a title search and an Estople letter (I have no idea what that is) which was like $500. So now its almost 10 months later, no offers and Never any calls and not returning or getting them on the phone, if I ever get to Flordia and I find their office there will be an good ole fashion a$$ kickin' .
So I guess now to my questions.
What is the best way to rent or lease out our points so at least someone will get some use out of them? (considering when we signed up with Bluegreen the sales guy said we could bank 3 years of points but looks like we can only do 2 years) I think after our son is older and I have some vacation time built up the Timeshare would be nice to have but right now we can't afford the fees. We already own the property so I only need the Maintenance fees covered. Any Ideas or anyone wanting to help?
Any and all help appreciated.
Troy

You can try advertising here, on Redweek.com, or any of the other free (or nearly free) timeshare websites. As you've already learned, don't pay a significant fee for someone to sell (or rent) your timeshare, or you'll just lose your fee and get nothing back. There are a number of individuals who make a little money on the side renting out their timeshares (though I'm not one of them). Most just cover the costs of their MFs. Keep reading on this site and you'll get to know how you can make the most of your "investment" so that it doesn't hurt you too much and can even be a bit of fun.

Well I got onto Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint agains Blue Bay Advisors, Found another person on Ripoff Report with the same problem as I do with Blue Bay so I added to his report.
I don't know how those guys can sleep at night knowing damn well what they are doing to people. And I am talking about the guys at places like Blue Bay and then also the people selling the timeshares at the outrageous retail prices (pressure sales) like how they got us.

On the up side I have a couple of guys interested in renting out our points. So that makes me super happy!!!

I guess it would be nice to have the timeshare when our boy gets older and we can actually have a decent vacation.

You can have a lot of fun giving vacations to other family members. That is much better than losing points over non-use.

Contact a guy here with the user id BocaBum99. He is extremely knowledgeable about TS and especially BG. He may be able to help you turn the tide and start to get something from your membership.

I am a BG owner and like you bought then didn't use for much too long. For the last 4 years or so I've made use of my points and I am ... as happy as a person that paid way too much for something can be. BG is a decent system and I'm pretty confident that if you put some work in you can at least break even. The key there is "put some work in". My experience is that this whole TS world is 100 times more complicated than anyone led me to believe when I bought. "Use your week, or trade it for any one of thousands of resorts throughout the world" is, IMO, similar to opening an E-Trade account for you, giving you 100 shares of Ford, and telling you you're on your way to becomming a millionaire. Ummmm, it's not impossible.
